Spinal op on Tuesday

Hi
So the surprise party went really well. Mr NB had a ball! It was lovely to see so many friends and family turn out for him.
Today he is paying for it, ( bad head), I am paying for it with pain and stiffness in my back, my head is fine as I didn`t drink.
So tomorrow I have to ring in the afternoon to check that I have a bed for Tuesday, and the all being well , go to the hospital for 8am on Tuesday. I feel like my throat is sore at one side, which is worrying me. I am drinking lots of fluids to try to keep it lubricated.
I am very nervous of the surgery so any support would be gratefully received x

    I'm pleased the party went so well, & hopefully Mr. NB 's head will clear soon.

    I truly hope the soreness in your throat will disappear so your operation can go ahead as planned. I wish you a successful outcome & a smooth recovery.

    I am having an early night tonight to try to catch up on my sleep and hopefully ward off any lurgy`s caused by exhaustion!
    I will sort my hospital bag tomorrow and try to not worry too much as worrying will not help me! I have stopped my Naproxen yesterday as advised so am not sure if that is contributing to my aches and soreness.

    I am pleased the party got hubby went well..all you have going on and you did that for him...bet he couldn't believe it..

    Thanks everyone for your kind wishes. I had a good long sleep last night, I was exhausted! I have just packed my hospital bag, I never know how many nighty`s/pj`s to take! I have sorted an outfit for Mr NB to bring when I come home.
    My Mum is coming over later so that will be nice.
    Feeling quite calm at the moment, but know I won`t be in the morning!

    I don`t know about relaxed but I think I am as organised as I can be.
    I just rang the ward but they haven`t got the theatre list yet! So I have to ring again at 7pm. So worried now!!

    I can understand that, it is unsettling but now it's out of your hands. If it happens you are prepared but if it doesn't it doesn't and that's not your fault. Either way you know where we are. DD
