Taken off all the meds after only 3 weeks

So I was diagnosed three weeks ago. I was given a steroid shot which had the reverse effect and flared my condition quite severely. Then I had a reaction to the first dose of methotrexate and now they've had to take me off the hydroxychloroquinine because I've reacted to that too.
Latest bloods show I've now got an infection going on somewhere too probably as a result of the medication.
The consultant will be taking another look on Friday but they are apparently slightly stumped as they know my condition is quite aggressive but so far the treatment isn't going to plan. Has anyone else had this. I'm worried it will run rampant because they can't treat me

I'm afraid I can't help with your dilemma, but just wanted to offer my support. I hope they can sort things out for you on Friday. Take care.

Oh Dear Paleogirl!
I am sorry that things haven't gone to plan yet. I can understand your fear that the disease might 'run rampant'.
Just remember 'they' are monitoring you and will be looking after you. I hope the infection settles down quickly for you and you are able to start some treatment for the RA.
Sending some ((()))

Just sending some sympathy and understanding. Please don't despair, there are lots of treatments out there and it always takes a while to find the right combination for each person.

have they put you on any antibiotic ? some can help with RA but they dont like giving out them because they are worried about having infections they cant treat in the future
it is pretty normal for them to stop drugs if you have some infection & then go back on them afterwards , so hope they will sort you out friday0 -
Hi thanks Sharon
They took me off the hydroxycholquinine and I began to feel a bit better. It seems this was making me sick and spaced out. So now I'm back at square one with no treatment. They want me to start the methotrexate again on Thursday. They were supposed to call but didn't. So I'm in limbo at the moment. I've got to see them on the 18th so will know more then xx0
