Heard on BBC Radio Kent this afternoon that Dave Cash has died aged 74.

He was a Presenter for Radio Kent who had just celebrated 52 years of broadcasting, was very innovative with his ideas and very memorable for those of us in the BBC Radio Kent area. He was one of the first DJ's on BBC Radio 1 and worked alongside Tony Blackburn and John Peel. He'd started on Radio London & Radio Luxembourg.

RIP Dave - and thanks for the wonderfully entertaining shows.

I use to like listening to him of a saturday evening when getting my T, he played some good music and his voice took me right back to my childhood listening to him on pirate radio, RIP. :(
