Courage

tears she cried
all day long.
Courage she sighed,
through nightfall's throng.
These tortured bones
and screaming tones
are monotonous.

They give me drugs
she cries.
"They'll stop your pain."
They lied.
But it's of no surprise
to find each day she tries.

    Oh Kath :(

This is a sad poem. The utter loneliness of pain-filled nights.

BUT hope is in there in the strength of the woman who carries on every day despite her pain.

    Beautifully written.

    Thank you

You have managed to create something pretty from something ugly. Well done, Kath.

What tremendous words, they capture the dark moments so well. I hope that those who can will move it to the poetry sticky at the top of this board. DD
