Hello Amble, it's nice to meet you but I am sorry you have to find us. Any kind of ongoing pain is a burden, no matter which joints are affected. Pain is pain is pain, end of.
I have learned (from reading on here) that resting your hands, in a basin of warm water laced with Epsom salts, can offer relief albeit temporary. Being a drug-free solution it can be repeated as often as required. I hope this helps.
I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Thanks so much for that suggestion. I use the warm water but didn't know about the Epsom salts!

I'm also trying this. Only just started so don't know how it will be.
My fingers don't like to do my will in the mornings!!
I insist that they do0 -
Hi Amble from a fellow hand pain sufferer. Pretty new to arthritis but as I used my hands a lot for sport, crafts, work etc it has meant a few adjustments.
Let me know if the balm works.

Hi Amble,
Welcome to the forums, can't really help you with advise for OA of the hands, as I suffer with OA in my left knee.
I can still offer moral support (we all can), when things get back.

there are some good exercises here if you wade through long enough. I've printed them off to try.
It may be worth looking for some for your knee ( not on the hand one obviously
For your knee, would it be worth trying those ice bags that you scrunch to make them cold?
