Hi there, its been quite a while since i last posted on here but thought it was time to get back to the community and see what everyone is doing to cope with their arthritis.

I have osteo arthritis in my hands, fingers, knees and back. I have ankylosing Spondolitis in my neck.

i have just had my second distal interphalangeal joint fusion on two of my fingers on my left hand. The other hand was done last year and the consultant used pins to fuse the joints. Different consultant this time and he used screws. I start my hand therapy tomorrow and still have splints on my fingers as i am waiting for an appt in feb to do x-rays to confirm that the joints have fused.

I wonder if anyone else has had this operation and if so how are you finding it different from before?
love from
