Hi Everyone, I have arthritis in both hips and while the right one has not given me much trouble, this past 8 days I have had about 4 different sorts of pain with it, today I have sharp pain in the groin/low buttock area when trying to put my foot back to walk...does this kind of pain tend to come and go? has anyone else experienced it?

I get odd pains all the time and attribute them to moving awkwardly. I have arthritis all over the shop so too many joints are being badly used or are out of kilter which puts the muscles under strain. If it continues then it's probably best to go and see your GP. I hope things improve soon. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I don't know whether you have read this information by Arthritis Care:
https://www.arthritiscare.org.uk/do-i-have-arthritis/a-z-of-types/99-hip-pain
or this helpful information by Arthritis Research UK:
https://www.arthritisresearchuk.org/arthritis-information/conditions/hip-pain/causes.aspx
I hope it goes some way to reassuring you and helping you decide whether you need to see your GP for further advice.
Best wishes,
