First dose Methotrexate today

Hi all,

After an awful reaction to Sulfasalazine I have just taken my first dose of Methotrexate today, I'm praying it doesn't give me awful side effects. Please say a wee prayer for me too??
Anyone recall their first time stories?

    I don't recall the first time I took it but I know I had no trouble with side effects for months, when I did it was a rash but I wasn't bothered by that after years of eczema. Rheumatology were, however, so they stopped it. DD

    hi , good luck with methotrexate , the only problem I had was with raised liver blood results & they sorted that by inceasing folic acid from one 5mg a week to six tablets a week , what folic acid have they started you on ?
