Had some good news this morning. My hospital phoned me asking if I could come in on Tuesday to see the main rheumatologist of the hospital (not my usual one). This rheumatologist is supposed to be amazing as both my aunties see her! I'm hoping she's came up with a plan to help me. So if you wouldn't all mind pocket duties on Tuesday morning please :D finally feel like I'm getting somewhere!

It might be wise to make some notes before you go of topics you want to cover with her and can anyone go with you as an extra pair of ears? I miss quite a bit of what I am being told due to lack of concentration and my husband is very good at filling in the blanks! DD

Just to update you all, appointment didn’t happen!! I traveled 30 minutes and waited 20 for the appointment to be told there was an error and me and another lady had been booked at the same time when it was the other lady who needed the appointment. I am so angry and upset. The rheumatologist refused to see us both so I got sent home.

    Oh Courtney how disappointing :(

You must be devastated I am so sorry.

I hope you will be offered another appointment soon. It might be worthwhile contacting the rheumatologist's secretary to express your upset and disappointment. He/she may be able to speed up another appointment for you.

    Best wishes

    Ellen.

I'm sorry to read this. It's always disappointing when much-hoped-for appointments are cancelled but at least you don't have long to wait and I think better that than them trying to squash two appointments into the time for one today.

I was so angry and upset coming away from there today. What annoys me most is that they did everything they usually do-blood pressure, height, urine test etc. And the rheumatologist even had my hospital notes on the desk in front of her! Waste of my time today plus travel expenses to get there.
