Madam has her rather large box of Mothering Sunday chocolates open, the unwritten rules for engagement state that:
1. Wait to be offered.
2. Don't pick the favourites.
3. Don't pick the same one every time.
4. Don't take your time choosing.
5. No opening the second layer until the first is finished.
6. No refusals, otherwise swmbo would have to eat the non-favourites as well.
7. Rules can be added at swmbo's discretion and without notice.
8. Any rules I don't know about should be known about.
All this over some chocolates.........!

If you request a similar box for Fathers' Day then you can engage House Rules too. Alternatively leave her to her box and get some for yourself, then no need to worry about transgressions, accidental or otherwise!0

House rules here are simple: I have my box, you have your box. Simples. Mind you, I apply Mrs A's rules to my box in the interests of self-discipline. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Ah haaaa, you mean I should buy a bottle of whisky and offer her a dram knowing she would refuse it?
