Sometimes I dearly wish I possessed the cartoonists' gift.

This morning I read on the BBC News site 'Sanitary product pilot to be rolled out'. So many images to choose from

ranging from the bizarre to the wince-making...
Another headline said "Scotland to roll out free sanitary products...." - how undignified having to run around catching them. I hope that at least they're well wrapped, papier-mache wouldn't be much use.

Two signs seen this morning for a cartoonist.

    1. 50% off carpets and beds.

    2. Do not enter. This gate is alarmed.

    This gate is alarmed.
Seems to be a common ailment of gates these days. Some years ago seeing one of these signs my slightly warped sense of humour broke out and I asked the adjacent member of staff what was the cause of the alarm - had he threatened to take the gate off its hinges? Needless to say blank look ensued.
