Actor Leslie Grantham has died at the age of 71. He played Dirty Den Watts in Eastenders then moved to live in Bulgaria.

    He'd recently made a film about the Kray twins from what I read Ron.I can imagine him in that.

    My late uncle started him on his acting career, he taught drama in Kingston Prison and Leslie Grantham was in his drama class. He credited my uncle with this in his autobiography and although he was unable to attend sent s lovely tribute which was read at my uncle's funeral.
    He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

    I did read he was very poorly..the only time I watched Eastenders when he was in it..slosh how interesting that your uncle started him in acting..kept him on the straight and narrow :)
