This article from the BBC is about alternative treatments for cancer, not arthritis but, like any other incurable disease, we get offered 'cures' too at exhorbitant prices as we are considered valuable sources of income by unscrupulous people intent on making a name for themselves.

As Dara O'Briain once wisely said when told that herbal medicine had been around for thousands of years - "Indeed it has, and then we tested it all, and the stuff that worked became 'medicine'. And the rest of it is just a nice bowl of soup and some potpourri"
“There is always a well-known solution to every human problem - neat, plausible, and wrong.” H.L. Mencken

Have you ever visited the "Goop" website, full of wierd, wonderful and useless or worse things.
I also reccommend following Dr Jen Gunter, she's an america gynaecologist who writes wonderful articles pulling apart lots of these ideas.
He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.
