Not, don't say a car
I was just thinking how lucky we are. Since moving to the Scottish Borders every journey, however mundane, involves green fields and hills, roadside flowers and relatively quiet roads. All very good for the soul.
Our grocery delivery drivers are invariably kind, chatty and always willing to unpack for me, without being asked, if Mr SW isn't about.
The grandchildren usually - but not always
A nice glass of Chenin Blanc

Cats, albeit I have none anymore. The local rouge, an overdose of vitamin D in form of uv. The Garrigue and all the edible stuff I find there. A winter day at the beach. And creating something I finally like. Plus watching the dust, dancing on a bridge of sun- rays.0

PS: and people of course. When I hitch- hike! I really should not forget THEM, of course!0

A morning in the shed, glass of vino, a good sleep, going away, a crisp day with the sun warmimh you and a hour with some baroque music, the simple pleasures of life.0

Ooooh thank you, Quintus and Airwave. You've both made this into a rather lovely thread. Isn't it somehow wonderful that we all find solace in quite similar things that just take us out of the humdrum of daily life? You have both reminded me of other joys, which is a joy in itself.0
