Robbing Peter to pay Paul......
The Lords have suggested in a report that 'better off ' pensioners should have benefits stopped to give the money to the young. They have not said what 'better off' means or 'young' so its a farcical idea to start with and would be the same as a tax raid on the elderly. This is a suggestion from our political 'elite' who obvisously don't have to worry about money (at £300 + expenses a day for attending the Lords), taking a pensioners bus pass or tv licence away would make a huge difference to them though.
If anything is to be done it should be the way money is looked at in the country and its division between subjects.

Raise the amount of income tax paid by top earners and at the same time tighten up tax avoidance schemes so they actually pay what they owe!He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.
