Being over 60 I get free prescriptions but I also have an HC2 form which I have to apply for annually but which entitles me to free dental treatment, financial help with glasses etc.
To check to see if you can get free NHS treatments and prescriptions go to: https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/dont-get-caught-out-penalty-charges/check-you-tick?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIl--X05yl5QIVloXVCh0AOQ6cEAAYASAAEgJM7_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I have a pre-pay certificate now which costs me ten something a month, but is totally worth it.
