I had a Trapezeumectoy nearly two weeks ago and have been in terrible pain for the last three days. First week I was absolutely fine. Is This normal?

Hi there,
Welcome to the forum, I wish you every success after your trapeziectomy.
Here's our relevant web page - it includes a link to a PDF factsheet
https://www.versusarthritis.org/about-arthritis/treatments/surgery/hand-and-wrist-surgery/
It looks like you shouldn’t be using your thumb yet, or not until you get a splint anyway, I guess there is now a space left in your wrist so things won’t be comfortable until it’s all settled down and the space is filled up with scar tissue.
Do keep us informed as you progress through the next few weeks
Take care
