Hi Chris8 and welcome to the online Community.

We did indeed used to have a small group of Nightowls posting but not so much in recent times. Perhaps there could be a revival.

The reason this post appears to have been posted in the daytime is that you were a new member - posts go straight to moderation for checking. We have now confirmed your membership and your posts now won't stop in our Moderation queue overnight 😃

    Best wishes

I wake at least three times a night, often more. I am very active in my dreams then get into trouble and the pain breakthrough is what wakes me. I either read my kindle or challenge myself with bizarre alphabet lists and bore myself back to sleep.

I am just beginning my 24th year of arthritis and sleep is now anything but restorative and is only rarely pleasurable. It's another daily trial to be undergone, is all. DD

Hi MIKE, FROGMORTON, DREAM DAISY, I was an early bird but with RA, and sometimes restlessness it's becoming later and later to the extent of an Nocturnal Night owl haha can totally relate to DREAM DAISY with the wake 3 times a night etc, hence why I posted the first post :) Just installed the Kindle app too so that's a great idea also and certainly helped a bit last night. Hope you're all ok, and hope to chat more to you all

I have psoriatic arthritis plus osteo and fibromyalgia. Pain is continuous and fluctuates between gross, vile and off-the-scale but I am in the fortunate position of being retired and can deal with it by plenty of rest etc. I have been ill since childhood so am very used to occupying myself with various distractions and finding things to do to take my mind off stuff. I enjoy puzzles (both jigsaw and written), love reading and am having a flirtation with britbox (which might be worth £6 a month but probably not). I am confined to barracks until July so am also making greetings cards for neighbours who are unable to go out (I moved to my current location six years ago and signed up to the neighbourhood email group which is proving to be very useful in the current circumstances).

My Kindle is the best option for the hours between 2 and 4am, it doesn't disturb my husband and does not emit the kind of strong light my laptop does which would further disturb me. DD

Morning @dreamdaisy hows things? The puzzles and jigsaw sound interesting! You may just have got me back into them :) noticed you said about your kindle 2am - 4am... I'm sometimes awake then to, some what a comfort knowing I'm not the only one awake at silly times haha :)

Hello and apologies for the delayed reply, today is not one of my better ones. The temperature here has plummeted so the OA is having a party, I was awake far too often last night with my feet, ankles, knees and hands being particularly troublesome but the time passed and continues to do so. The one form of puzzle I have never cracked is cryptic crosswords, my brain doesn't work sideways or inside out. How are you getting on? I have a Val McDiarmid on my Kindle at the moment, a Kate Brannigan mystery which I am really enjoying so eking it out.

    It's Doritos o'clock! 😁 DD

Hey @dreamdaisy it certainly has gone a bit chillier from the other day when we had a few nice days, one in particular was a really lovely day, actually felt like a summer's day. Think that was a taster of things and climates to come hopefully. Cant remember which day lol as at present everyday seems to roll into the same lol I'm good thanks anyway, well as good as we can with current situation hey lol good on you with kindle and crosswords etc, I'm using my kindle too and actually even thought about crosswords and jigsaws etc too which I probably wouldn't have considered much otherwise. Hope your enjoying them Doritos also :) good choice! :)
