I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I had been taking sulphasalazine but stopped taking it the middle of December. I am still with the dawn team and feeling better for not taking the tablets

Hi Kingy and welcome to the forum. It's good to have you with us. I'm glad to hear the decision to stop this particular medication is working for you, it's never easy to know what to do for the best and what medication is the right choice for you.

Hope you enjoy browsing the forum. You will find many other members with rheumatoid arthritis and you can use the search box on the left hand side (above the yellow "New Discussion" bar) to search on particular topics. Do feel free to ask questions and join in discussions.

There is also a Versus Arthritis telephone helpline, available free on 0800 5200 520, Monday to Friday 9am - 8pm.

    Best wishes,

    Ann

High kingy I've just recently found this forum myself, so nice to meet you. I also have RA and have been living with it now for 10 years. One of the meds they put me on a few years back was sulphazaline. I was on it for about 8 months before I had to be taken it off it, so I know how hard it can be. I know from living with RA how much it impacts on our day to day lives and it can leave you drained not only physically but mentally to..So it's good to talk or ask questions with people who are going through exactly the same thing.
