I have osteoarthritis in my lower back and have been offered a steroid injection. I wonder if anyone has had good or bad experiences of these injections.

Hi Daisy777 and welcome to the Online Community. Its lovely to have you here.

We have a great section of information on steroid injections that is well worth checking out:

Given the current situation we also have important COVID-19 advice for people taking steroids which you should also note.

Steroid injections are a regular topic and you could also try taking a look using our Community Search facility.

I had injections of steroids and anaesthetic into my spine several years ago, they were supposed to offer relief up to 3 months but in me lasted less than a week. I remember thinking at the time that if I was a millionaire I would have had them daily! Regrettably the damn OA is now widespread.
