Hi Lynn and welcome to the Online Community. Having arthritis in one of its many forms can be extremely difficult, exhausting and not really understood by those around us.

All of us here understand and know what its like to have this mostly invisible illness. If you need to ask specific questions, want to unload or just want to come for a chat in Val's Café, you would be most welcome.

We have a great web site with lots of ideas and information that can help. You might like to take a look at our Living With Arthritis page: https://www.versusarthritis.org/about-arthritis/living-with-arthritis/ This contains lots of practical advice.

We also have information on managing emotions: https://www.versusarthritis.org/about-arthritis/managing-symptoms/emotional-well-being/ I'm sure many of our members will suggest ways to help when things get difficult.

Do join in across the Community. Its lovely to have you here.

    All best wishes

Hello, I have psoriatic and osteoarthritis, the former contributed to the latter. To a certain extent no-one can tell us what to do to make life easier because every circumstance is different, every patient is different, the docs do the meds but we have to do the rest.

My rheumatologist deals with the psoriatic (PsA) by prescribing methotrexate and humira. She ignores the OA. The GP deals with the OA by prescribing pain relief and ignores the PsA. They both know about the theory of living with arthritis leaving me to deal with the reality.

What meds are you taking for your RA? DD

Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
