Hi all I've just joined the group. I've been suffering with osteoarthritis for a very long time. I keep myself fit and exercise regularly no matter how painful. However, I have just learnt about Yin Yoga. This is very similar to Yan Yoga we all know about. But yin yoga is about keeping ligaments, tendons fascha & joints supple. It goes much deeper than muscle stretching alone. I have a stretching routine that takes about an hour and gives some relief to my pain. However, having discovered yin yoga I am blown away by the quick response my body is having. After only 6 hours of yin yoga my lower back pain has gone. And the pain in my hips as significantly reduced. Years & years physio & massage have not been able to get the results like this has. It's not easy and you need to be gentle with yourself and ease into but what staggering results. I am totally blown away. I do yin yoga for the hips and spine. Look it up on Google or find a yin teacher. It obviously won't be for everyone but I am so excited I had to pass it on... 😍🧘

I'm sorry you have had such a long experience of osteoarthritis. Its great that you have found a form of exercise yoga that suits you and obviously helps you keep mobile. I love the sentiment that "you need to be gentle with yourself" 😃
