Hello, I’ve just joined today, I was wondering if any one uses an ironing press and how you find moving it and using it. Ie are they heavy to move and use xx😄

    Hi Topcat599

    Welcome to the forum.

Myself personally haven't used an ironing press but I am sure there will be someone on the forum that would have.

If not then you can have a look at the following website https://www.versusarthritis.org/about-arthritis/living-with-arthritis/your-home/ or you can call the helpline 0800 5200 520

Hope you are able to find it useful. Feel free to have a look around the other forums as well.

    Stay Safe

I havn't owned an iron or ironing board for years, there is no way I could stand/sit properly to iron or even hold the darn thing without doing myself some damage. I rarely go anywhere so ironing would be a waste of time, just wear a jumper or sweatshirt and nobody will notice the crumples. Ironing socks is over-rated anyway!

Oh dear I did know someone who used one on here, but sadly he died (heart attack) just before Christmas. He certainly swore by it.

I wonder whether it's possible to rent one to try it out before such a big commitment?
