Virus and pain connection
I have arthritis in my fingers and it never really caused me much pain, but since the coronavirus my pain has increased. I don’t have any symptoms at all. My question is could the increase in pain be an indication that my immune system is fighting something off? I have been strictly observing the lockdown rules and hygiene advice.

Hello @Arthur ur welcome to the Versus Arthritis Online Community on behalf of myself and the Moderating Team.
Very interesting that your fingers are hurting much more than usual since lockdown. I will be interested to hear whether any of our members are also experiencing increased pain like yourself.
The above is our COVID information if you haven't already read it and are interested it is reliable and comprehensive.
I wonder whether you are doing anything more than usual - my own fingers are rather sore because I have been weeding and knitting which I don't do as much as I am just now.
We aren't medically trained so unable to offer a diagnosis. I would recommend a chat with a medical professional in the first instance maybe your pharmacist?
I am very pleased to hear you are adhering strictly to the lockdown guidelines and hand hygiene advice.
Do let us know how you get on.
Best wishes
Ellen
