I suffer from severe osteoarthritis in my fingers and have done for so many years. I am now 56. I have had basal joint surgery in my right hand around 5 years ago to remove a crumbled joint. The only option I have been given to get rid of my pain is to fuse all the joints affected in both hands!!! I had to refuse this treatment as I have to work. I suffer pain almost every day but just get on with it!

Hello, I can empathise as I have psoriatic arthritis in all my fingers plus OA in my wrists. Do you have any other affected joints or is it just your hands? Have you spotted any link between your better days, e.g. is it less painful in hot weather? DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
