Hello everyone, has anyone had a bakers cyst behind their knees? I have oa, fibromyalgia and spondylitis in my lower back. Does anyone also have any good tips on exercise? Have talked to my GPS but not very helpful, have seen ra consultant who found the spondylitis which was on my ct scan from 2 years ago for chronic pains in my stomach. Sorry for the constant questions just would like some guidance as I am a pretty active person and find it difficult to be restricted.

Hi, I have a baker's cyst behind my left knee. I'm 56 this August & have OA in many of my joints. I've had the baker's cyst for many many years only the last few years it's played up more & more & the swelling is getting worse & so is the pain. Sounds as though you're going through a lot but exercise is great & helps the muscles around the joints. I walk a lot ( I have 2 dogs ) I also have a cross trainer which is low impact on your joints. I stop exercise if it starts to hurt. If you walk make sure you have good walking shoes that fit well & good cushioning.
Hope this helps0
