Hello and welcome,
Living with pain cad be challenging, your local physiotherapy or pain service may be able to advise you on the best way to manage your pain.
I have pasted some links to pain relief and exercise, I hope it is of help.

Yes iv had quite a lot of physio. To be honest it hasn't helped at all. They said that i have good muscle strength. I don't have a lot of faith in physios as I had a torn acl In my right knee which they missed. The surgeon diagnosed it straight away using the same physical exam. Iv been told by the last physio that there is nothing more they can do to help my pain0

That’s a shame. Mine was key to me getting a diagnosis of OA, and has given me an exercise regime (although tbh most of it is too painful), to improve muscle tone ready for hip replacement (whenever that’s likely to happen...j, and has got me referred for aqua therapy when the pools reopen, but there isn’t much she can do with the underlying cause of the pain (ie wrecked bone tissue). But you’re right, there is a limit to what they can do for pain management if the primary injury is not related to soft tissue.

I have quite a bit in my arsenal against pain @DODGYKNEES . Not only my prescribed pain relief and anti-inflammatory medications.
But I add in a warm wheatbag/ice pack or tens machine as and when necessary and/helpful.
If i am out and about (not just now obviously) I use those heat patches you can buy which you stick on.
Finally I do my best to distract myself with a variety of things; reading TV, watching my cat, a call to a friend etc etc
