Hypothyroidism and shoulder pain/arthritis
Hi, I’m new here. I was wondering if anyone here suffers from hypothyroidism and arthritis/pain in the shoulders. I’m in my 40s and have congenital hypothyroidism. I’ve been having pain in my shoulders for a few years now. Unfortunately due to lock down I’ve been unable to get a diagnosis. Am doing exercises to try and keep them from getting worse!

Hi Calamitygem
Weicome to the online community it is lovely to have you here. Shoulder pain can be difficult to manage and we have a good section on the website which you might find useful.
On a personal level I also struggle with shoulder pain and as well as painkillers and exercises I find hot wheat bags really help. Plus trying to remain mindful of tensing my shoulders as I get a lot of muscle pain. Let us know how you get on
Best Wishes
Sharon

Thank you for replying Sharon. I hadn’t thought of wheat bags, will try that tonight, and will have a look at the shoulder pain section x
