You really should have got some legal representation whilst at work, a union rep or Human Resources etc etc, hey ho, you are where you are.
i suggest, apart from this website, citizens advice bureau they will have experts to steer you through the system. Sometime or other we have to come to terms about not working again, listen to what the CAB say.
its a grin, honest!

I am sorry to hear that you have been made redundant. Like the other posts I suggest you get some advice from citizens advices service or a local welfare advice service in your area. I have added a link to Turn2Us, however there are numerous organisations that offer welfare advice. https://www.turn2us.org.uk/Your-Situation/Looking-for-work
There are a range of benefits that you may be able to claim. https://www.gov.uk/financial-help-disabled
Our website has some information on work https://www.versusarthritis.org/about-arthritis/living-with-arthritis/work/
As someone living with a long term condition you can ask for support with job search, https://www.gov.uk/looking-for-work-if-disabled There may also be a local provider in your area that offers help to disabled jobseekers or those living with a long term condition.
Information on your rights can be found on Disability Rights UK https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/careers-and-work-disabled-people
Access to work is a government funded scheme that can provide an assessment of your needs once you have a date to start work https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work You’ll be offered support based on your needs, which may include a grant to help cover the costs of practical support in the workplace.
An Access to Work grant can pay for:
- special equipment, adaptations or support worker services to help you do things like answer the phone or go to meetings
- help getting to and from work
I hope this helps and you find the information and support you need to return to work.
