Hi everyone. Currently taking arcoxia 120mg. Found a better approach, turned vegetarian/pestarian one year ago and had only one flare up since, no uvitus just hip pain. Usually with ankolosing Spondylitis i would flare most months and would have to be administered steroid through the eye and legs. If anyone has any questions ill be happy to answer.

Hi @Barbie3112 and welcome to the online community,

It's interesting to hear that you've found relief from pain through vegetarianism - long may it continue!

There's some useful information below on alternative treatments for arthritis which you may find useful - of course any changes in medication or new treatments should be discussed with your Rheumatology specialist or GP .

    Best wishes,

    Anna

    Hi @Barbie3112

I too am veggie/vegan and am very pleased to meet you. I am really pleased your AS is under control I hope it last a long time if not forever!

Discussions about diet happen fairly frequently on here people have their own opinions. Personally i think if it works and you are healthy (I take a vegan supplement daily) then all is good🙂
