tocilizumab injections
Hi
My teenage daughter has been on Anakinra injections for 3 years. She finds these very painful. Last year she tried a toc injection for the first time, unfortunately a few hours later she felt sick and was poorly for the rest of the night. She had a blood test the next day which showed low neutrophils and she was admitted to hospital. She went back on to Anakinra due to this reaction and would like to try toc again.
Has anyone else had this experience with toc ? I've heard its very successful for a lot of people.
I would be grateful of any comments or advice.
Thanks

Hi @ttanner
A warm welcome to our online community - we are so happy to have you join us!
Your daughter has Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (I am assuming from the medication she is on) and you are wanting to learn a bit more about tocilizumab and hear what other people's experiences are of the drug.
We have some information on tocilizumab on our website:
There is also a specific forum for parents of children with arthritis where you may find discussions about JIA and tocilizumab:
I hope you get some shared experiences here on the forum and please do post back to let us know how your daughter gets on 😊
Best Wishes
Debbie
