Warm Homes Discount

Seems daft to post about this before the August bank holiday but looking at weather outside maybe no so stupid after all. Govt website says scheme opens Oct 12th https://www.gov.uk/the-warm-home-discount-scheme but when I checked it out I found my supplier - British Gas - is already accepting applications here https://www.britishgas.co.uk/energy/energy-saving/warm-home-discount.html

Might be a good idea for BG customers to apply ASAP

EDF are not accepting applications yet but you can register your interest on their website then they will email you when it is time to apply. In addition if you have claimed Warm Home Discount in the past as I have you will automatically get an email to apply for the 20/21 scheme. It should be noted that each electricity supplier only has a set amount of discounts available so it is very much a case of first come first served.

EDF are now accepting applications. I registered last week on the understanding that, as their website states, they would email me when applications are open but -surprise, surprise - they didn't!
