Tocilizumab and Cholesterol.
Good Morning,
I was just wondering if anybody out there who is receiving Tocilizumab has found that their cholesterol level has increased. I am a healthy eater and so was quite shocked to receive my latest level, which has been steadily increasing at every 6 month test, since starting the medication 3 and a half years ago. Thank you.

Hi @Becky88
Tocilizumab can increase your cholesterol levels and can also affect liver function tests. As a result, you will need a blood test every four weeks while taking tocilizumab.
There is a whole lot more information about Tocilizumab here on our website, including details of other possible side effects:
Hope this information is useful for when you next visit your doctor to discuss your medication 😃
Best wishes
Brynmor
