Just had hip pain for about a week now I am aged 77 and would like to talk about it if you would like cheers Jolly Jeff

    I see you have recently started with hip pain and am thinking you suspect Arthritis.

    My first suggestion would be that you have a read of this and see whether it rings any bells:

    Secondly you will need to see your GP to get a firm diagnosis.

    Hello Jeff, sorry to hear about your hip pain. Mine are rubbish too. I agree with Ellen, it would be worth visiting your GP to review this, but I would also suggest visiting a reputable qualified physio to investigate whether there might be other causes, such as bursitis, tendonitis or muscle strain. I hope you can get to the bottom of it soon (no pun intended), the not knowing can be very worrying. Once you know, you can start getting on with appropriate treatment, whatever that may be.
