New to the group and diagnosis
Hi everyone,
I received confirmation of inflammatory arthritis yesterday following a severe bout of joint pain in my hands, elbows and shoulders over the summer. My 'homework was to check out this site and look into the proposed drug (sulfaslazine) in advance of confirmation and a new baseline blood test. Fortunately my symptoms are pretty mild at the moment, stiffness in my hands at the start ad end of the day with more pain in my toes. I'm 42 and had never experienced anything like the pain of the flare that set me off on this diagnostic path so although I had some preparation for this from my GP back in July it was a bit of a surprise to have it confirmed yesterday.
Anyway, that's all from me for now.
