PIP

Hi everyone,

I have lived with Rheumatoid Arthritis for many years. I unfortunately had to move out off town and leave my Doctor's surgery who I had been with for over 20yrs. I'm now up for a review with my PIP and am so anxious as my new doctor and consultant aren't really that interested in me. Does anyone know if it's just phone calls or do we have to go for another assessment as it makes me I'll just thinking about it. Thank you 😌

    Hi @CSHaigh

Welcome to the Versus Arthritis forum, I hope we can help with your query.

You’re a long-term RA sufferer and you have an imminent PIP review which is making you feel anxious.

I’m sure there will be other forum members who will be able to offer you advice based upon their own PIP experiences.

What I would also suggest is that you give our free Helpline a call on 0800 5200 520, or email helpline@versusarthritis.org (Mon - Fri 9:00am – 8:00pm). I believe that they have a specialist who may be able to advise you.

    Best Wishes

Face-to-face assessments were suspended from 17 March. Reviews and reassessments were also put on hold from 24 March. Whilst under review, they will continue to be suspended. However if your circumstances have changed (for example your condition has deteriorated and you believe you're entitled to a higher amount), you can still request a review by phone or by post.
