Pain relief until hip replacement
I am way overdue for hip replacement due to covid. I’m on buteq (opiate) patches and cocodamol to top up. I cannot take tramadol. My gp wasn’t able to suggest anything else a few weeks ago. Anyone else have any thoughts about pain relief till I get my surgery?

Hi @philpem and welcome to the versus arthritis forum.
I see that your hip operation has been delayed due to covid and that you like to see if any forum members can offer you pain management advice in the interim.
You’ve come to the right place to ask the question and I’m sure that you will receive some valuable input.
If you haven’t already visited our website you may find some useful information. Having said this, if your GP has been unable to offer you any further medication to help with your pain then your options may be limited. You could take a look here though:
I hope you receive some feedback from members that can help with your situation.
Best Wishes
