Hi @Soreback and welcome to the online community,

There has been some research undertaken about the effectiveness of turmeric in dealing with arthritic pain, and it seems that some people have found benefit from taking it. Below is a page from Versus Arthritis that gives a bit more information.

Other members may have personal experience of using turmeric, so I’ll let them comment. This forum is a useful way of finding out how people manage their arthritis, so do have a look through the different posts, and feel free to comment on anything you’re interested in. Perhaps you’d like to tell us a bit more about yourself too.

    All the best,

    Anna : )

    Hi @Soreback

Welcome and thank you for posting on the forum.

Thank you to Anna for providing the link to turmeric and osteoarthritis. If you haven’t already seen it, you may also find the link to osteoarthritis useful. There you will find a section on managing symptoms which includes information on ways to ease the symptoms of pain and stiffness. There is a section there about under complementary medicine for OA about supplements often used by people with osteoarthritis. You can also see a section on medications which takes you to information about a well-proven complementary medicine for osteoarthritis, called capsaicin cream, that is available on prescription from a GP.

You are very welcome to call us on our freephone helpline: 0800 5200 520 so you can talk things through with one of our helpline team. We’re happy to provide you with more tailored support to help you to manage your OA.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Best wishes
