Voltarol
Can you tell me if Voltarol gel helps with pain relief for osteoarthritis of the knee. My GP says it's a waste of money.

Voltarol gel contains a NSAID drug called diclofenac. Some people find it helpful. You can read more about it and the other options for managing osteoarthritis of the knee on the link below.
You may wish to ask your GP about a well-proven complementary medicine for osteoarthritis of the knee, called capsaicin cream. It is available on prescription from a GP and is mentioned under drugs on the link below.
