I have been experiencing excrucitaing pain on both my knees for last one year. After the uric acid test doctor confirmed it as gouty athritis and have prescribed Allopurinol 100 mg daily with ibuforen. After three months of medication there is no sign of pain gping away. I have taken another blood test and the uric acid have decreased by only two readings. the initial reading was 11.5 and now it has come down to 9.5 and the maximum is 7 in our country. Thereafter I consulted another doctor and he advised me to take 300 mg of allopurinol daily, now I am experiencing dizziness, drowsiness and sick feeling always. Is it becaise of increasing the doses? Should I come down to 100 mg daiy? Please advice ?
