Hello
Hi everyone, it's lovely to see so many people here all at different stages of experience with their condition. I was diagnosed with Palindromic Rhuematism just over 2 years ago and managed 2 years relatively symptom free. The last 3 months I have had more frequency of pain mainly in my hands - struggling to extend my ring and little fingers of both hands which makes daily jobs difficult! I spoke with my rheumatologist who suggested hydroxychloroquine but I'm worried about side effects particularly damage to vision with systemic treatment when all symptoms are in my hands. However my ESR is very raised. Does anyone have any experience of local steroid injections or hydroxychloroquine?

I see that you received a diagnosis of Palindromic Rheumatism some 2 years ago and are now being advised to take Hydroxychloroquine, which advice is causing you some concern. Here are some links to information from our website:
I hope these allay your concerns and that you go on OK.
