Hi everyone! 2nd attempt at 'say hello' discussion. It's lovely to see how many people are here sharing their stories and those with more experience offering advice to those with less experience ๐Ÿ˜€

I was diagnosed with Palidromic Rheumatism just over 2 years ago and since then have have very few symptoms which were easily managed. About 3 months ago, my symptoms started to become more frequent and protracted. Now I'm finding that I can't extend my ring and little fingers on each hand. I also have a high ESR. My consultant suggested hydroxychloroquine however I'm reluctant to start systemic treatment with the side effects when I have symptoms in my hands only.

Does anyone have any similar experiences? Or any experiences on hydroxychloroquine? Do steroid injections to release the affected fingers tend to work longer term? Any advice greatly appreciated!!!
