Pain in bones in bottom.
I have had osteo arthritis for a long time, mainly in all of my spine, I was also diagnosed with two curvatures.
The last few weeks I have been having terrible pain in the big bones of my bottom. When I sit, especially on a hard chair but now it's started when sitting in recliner. It is also really painful when I stand up.
Does anyone else get this or have any idea what is causing the problem.
Thank you.

If you have arthritis in your spine already, could it have spread to your Coccyx? Or is the pain in your “sitting bones”, ie your hips (possibly also arthritis)? You would need to have this checked out by your GP, with possible referral to your rheumatologist, and/or X-ray. Meanwhile, you may find it more comfortable to sit on a donut cushion (ie one with a hole in the middle), which you should be able to find on line. Using this for a while may help rule out other issues such as soft tissue damage of some sort?

I have the same pain in mine I think they call it deferred pain but I would check with your gp or physio I’m definitely no expert.

Might be worth a trip to a physio for an initial assessment and exercises to help relieve the pain.

Thank you for your replies.
I will get and try a cushion.
If it carries on I will contact GP.
