Hi my name is Lisa and I was diagnosed a year ago with OA in feet, knee, hip and hands. Currently on waiting lists to see rheumatologist. Can anyone tell me if the pain ever goes away?

I see that you’ve been recently diagnosed with OA. You’d like some input from the forum as regards pain longevity, well you’ve certainly come to the right place to ask the question.

Whilst pain from OA may never go away there is much you can do to manage your symptoms to reduce its impact. Our website has loads of articles that can help.
