Do you have to exercise your knees everyday for the rest of your life
Hi I know it's a dumb question but will I have to keep doing my knee exercises for the rest of my life I have osteoarthritis in my knees and Iam to put young to a tkr I was given exercises to help develop my leg muscles but was never told by the phisyo of I had to do them for the rest of my life I try to walk every day and the exercises are working

I’m afraid the answer is yes. If you don’t, your knees will stiffen up again, the muscles will lose strength, and you’ll be back where you started. These all help to manage pain and keep you mobile. Sadly arthritis isn’t like an injury that heals up eventually, you do need to keep on top of it. It’s great that you’re seeing the benefit already, hopefully that’s encouragement for you to keep going. Well done!
