my name is monica , and i am new here .
Hi Monica, welcome to this lovely forum.
I have just joined. I got told yesterday I have osteoarthritis in my knees hips elbows and shoulders, that was the first time I had seen anyone in 14 months due to the pandemic, the appointment was cancelled 5 times
They have told me nothing they can do except painkillers
Greetings @Vanessajayne and welcome to the forum.
I see that you have been told that you have OA in your knees, hips, elbows and shoulders. Was this a GP or consultant diagnosis? you no doubt find it disappointing that you are only being offered painkillers.
I have plucked these links from our website which will hopefully give help and suggestions as to how you can manage your condition.
I hope you may find something of help and interest in these. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
Thank you Tom
It was a rheumatologist that told me
You're in the right hands then. It can take time for treatment to take effect. I have always tried to not regret the things I can no longer do, but take joy in the things I can.
