Liony's story of walking with arthritis
This week we want to share with you Leony’s story which forms part of the We Are Undefeatable campaign.
Due to osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, Leony has had two knee replacement surgeries, the most recent of which was 7 months ago. After her surgery she gradually and slowly increased her activity levels by going on daily walks and discovered a new way of life through walking. She enjoys going for walks with her daughter and the rest of the family and she isn’t afraid to go without them if they slow her down. Discover how and why Leony’s daughter motivates her to stay active by watching the video
Remember you can learn more about exercising with arthritis on our website.
We Are Undefeatable is a campaign developed by 16 different health and social care charities which are working to reach people living with long-term conditions such as arthritis, cancer, Alzheimer’s, lung conditions, diabetes and heart disease. The campaign encourages people to stay active in a way that works for them.
