Hi, any advice in coping with osteoarthritis of the spine?
Hello, I’m 61 and have be having back pain on and off for a long time, then about a year ago my doctor sent be for an Xray which showed it was osteoarthritis of the spine.
Since then it’s been gradually but surely getting worse, I’ve gone part time but we can’t afford for me to stop working altogether.
So I’ve joined to desperately find information about different painkillers and treatments both prescription from the doctor and natural to allow me to work till pension age.

Hello @Dave2 and welcome to the forum.
I see that you have developed osteoarthritis of the spine and are looking for information on how you can treat it and keep working. Here are some links that way help:
It is best if you discuss with your GP/Consultant on medication issues. AS you will see in discussions on the forum, some have had no luck with complimentary therapies.
I hope you will find some useful information. Keep posting and let us know how you get on.

I have OA of the spine as well as everywhere else. All I can suggest is that you ask your GP to refer you to your local Pain Clinic as they will have more experience of the condition and may be able to offer different meds and treatments which can help you. Good luck.
