Is this normal?

I regularly wake up in the night with pains in back and leg but tonight awoke with hot feeling all down left leg, almost like I'd wet myself (I hadn't!). This is a new feeling, having suffered osteoarthritis for quite a number of years now. My question is....is this normal for arthritis?

Welcome to the Versus Arthritis forum. 

You’ve had osteoarthritis in your back and leg for some time but more rcently had a hot feeling in your leg and would like to know if this is something that others have experienced. 

I’ve searched our website with a view to identifying any information that might be useful for you. Whilst I couldn’t find anything specific, this section does refer to waking up in the night due to experiencing pain in the legs:

It may well be that other forum members can help advise here as regards whether or not this is a normal symptom.
