Recently diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis
Hello everyone
i have recently been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, though I suspect I have had it for some time. I have been prescribed methotrexate due to start soon. I can walk ok though I have slowed down and have pain in back, hips, knees etc. I am retired but currently have an active social life, look after grandkids, and still do some freelance work.
would like to hear anyone’s experience of getting used to diagnosis and methotrexate. Also how you handle seeing family and friends as the idea of having to go back to staying in and not seeing people very depressing.

Hello @Hermine and welcome to the community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that that will be your experience as well.
I understand that you have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and that you have been prescribed methotrexate. Our website has a lot of useful information and also a good search function and I would suggest having a look around it. To help I've highlighted a couple of links which you might find helpful.
I do hope that others will connect with you to share their experiences and do please keep posting and let us know how you are getting on.
With very best wishes
